TREATMENT SERVICES

Mental Health + Addiction Recovery in Los Angeles

Our Program at a Glance

Launch provides a variety of services to address the individual needs of each client, from mental health struggles to substance abuse, and life skills development. These drug and alcohol educational courses, coupled with individualized counseling and life skills will provide Launch clients with the best possible chance at long term success of living a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle. Our counseling team consists of highly skilled professionals who use effective techniques, current evidence-based modalities, and we provide a drug and alcohol-free environment to promote healthy and productive learning in an outpatient setting. Each young adult is assigned a personal therapist who works directly with them through the duration of the program. Additionally, every young adult will be given support and guidance from our Director of Education on plans for pursuing education or finding a career that really sparks a passion within them.

In our experience, we have found that clients who leave treatment with a sense of passion and purpose tend to stay sober longer and leave with a higher sense of self-esteem. It’s easier to stay on the path of recovery when you have found something that really speaks to you. Our attention to life skills development also lends itself to long term recovery. Day to day activities such as tracking bills, looking for an apartment, or trying to find a job can seem intensely overwhelming for the average person, so it is understandable that people struggling to succeed struggle with these day to day tasks as well. We believe learning these simple life skills are just as important to a client’s treatment plan. It helps them reenter the world more confident and prepared. 1-30 Days

The first 30 days of the program is for the “Now What?” assessment and individualized plan + first steps. Clients will receive personalized plans using therapeutic information and educational and vocational data to guide goal planning and measurable objectives to achieve at the end of the 30 days. Clients will benefit from therapeutic and educational guides to create appropriate plans and steps to follow subsequent to completion of the program. While we may get educational and vocational information at this stage, the main work will be rooted in clinical assessment and developing a deep sense of emotional intelligence.

60-90 Days

Now that the client has had time to land in a clinical setting, clients will begin taking steps towards their education or vocational goals. Objectives include a therapeutic integration with academic transcript analysis, educational and extra-curricular evaluation, career inventory and interest assessment, job research, and resume/ cover letter creation. Depending on individual goals, clients may complete a diploma, college applications, or access assistance in beginning or return to college. If a client has taken leave from school, re-enrollment and academic guidance will provide structure for life outside courses. Additionally, if a client’s academic plan is to begin community college courses in preparation for vocation or college transfer, then admission, course selection, and enrollment will be completed by the culmination of the 90-day program. If the client has revealed readiness to enter the job force, a resume and cover letter will be matched to job applications, and interviews and placement will be completed by the end of the 90-day program.

90-180 Days

Launch provides a lengthier treatment plan for clients dedicated to maintaining progress within a structured environment. For clients interested in working or going to school, or even doing both while still being members of the Launch community, a more flexible program will be implemented at the culmination of their time in IOP. Clients will continue therapeutic and educational sessions at the Launch Center outside of work and/or school commitments. This flexible but structured program will provide a space and support system to ensure progress made in the 90-day program is maximized and continued. This program allows us to maintain contact with the client throughout all the stressors of their new job, a first sober semester in school, or any other potential stressors that may show up in that first, critical year.
